There's no doubt about it, if you get your party table right the kids will settle down & start stuffing their faces. This means that with any luck, you'll get a second to breathe, survey the extent of the pre-meal damage & familiarise yourself with your post-meal plan. Plus if it takes your fancy, you'll get to enjoy a grown up soft drink or two (three).
I've put together a selection of kids party tables done right. Strategic outposts that, whilst beautiful, are designed to keep children entertained, enthralled, enraptured &, well, ensnared : )
It must be something to do with the fact that our office is so close to the sea, but I love a pirate theme as a kids party idea. This one involves some pro level construction, but a pirate party has lots of scope, can be done on a budget with some inventive craftiness & can be teamed with some great games.
Looking past the fact that this is a Christmas party theme, I had to include this table due to the inventiveness of its creators. A roll of brown packaging paper & a Sharpie & this is the result! The addition of the to-do list is so clever. Giving the kids some structure will help make their party (& your job) run a little smoother.
This tastefully done Hello Kitty party is incredibly polished! It just shows that a theme is just that; a theme. Nothing's set in stone. Your party can be embellished & OTT or reigned in & stylish. Whatever the case, as long as the kids have a great party & you live to serve them for at least another day - you know you've done a great job.
I'd love to hear what you think about these party tables. The Checklist Doodle Table is a favourite at Be My Bear, although I have to say I'm a sucker for how cool the Tropical Theme design is. What themes have worked for you? Let me know in the comments below. Party planning parents will thank you for it!
